Please account for extra days for travel. Arrival and Departure Day are not included in retreat. Total number of days for retreat, including arrival day and departure is 9 days & 8 nights.

Retreat will be 7 days & 6 nights and will cost will be $1,942.00/per person, based on double occupancy.

For Double Occupancy each room contains two twin beds and bathroom.

Single rooms (One king or one queen bed) and Family Suite (two room suite: one king bed and second room has 2 twin beds) is available on request at booking and will add to the quoted pricing.

Full board is included in pricing everyday: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Arrival day, meals are not included and guests are responsible for those charges. (Most meals cost under $15 per person.)

Departure day only breakfast is included in pricing.

Itinerary & Booking

Arrival Day: Today you will arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. After making your way through customs, you will be greeted by your transfer team and transported to your home away from home at the Chanya Lodge.

Day 1:

Your first day of your retreat will consist of a meet-and-greet and activities to get everyone connected and comfortable with each other for the week ahead. This day will include full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner) at Chanya Lodge.

Day 2:

After breakfast, you will be gathered and transported to your first excursion to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Chemka. Here you will play in and explore this natural blue lagoon. You are welcomed to float, jump from the rope swings, swim and even jump from the surrounding trees into the natural warm waters. You can also enjoy natural pedicures from the little fish that inhabit the springs. Afterwards, you will meet with the village mamas who will prepare you a traditional African lunch. You will be able to choose from a buffet of traditional cuisine and seasonal fruits prepared by our local lovely mamas. After, you will be transported back to your accommodations at the Chanya Lodge, where you can enjoy dinner and get much needed rest from a full day tour.

Day 3:

After breakfast, you will be transported to the Maasai Village where you will spend the day experiencing their lifestyle and day-to-day life. The Maasai elders with share with you their stories and histories. You will get a chance to participate in their daily activities such as milking cows, fetching water with donkeys, joining the Maasai men to experience how they search for pastures and water for their livestock. There will always be a guide present to translate. You are sure to learn many things about this exotic tribe and their history in Tanzania. You will have an opportunity to buy souvenirs that are handmade by the tribe. Proceeds help to support the tribal families. In the afternoon, we will stop along the way for a delicious box lunch prepared for you by the Chanya Lodge. After your tour, you will be transported back to your accommodations at the Chanya Lodge to freshen up and enjoy a wonderful dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 4:

Day 4 will be spent at the Chanya Lodge, where breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. We will work on many activities including workshops on conscious connection, the power of meditation and different techniques to meditate and the benefits of yoga that is inclusive to all abilities. We will do many team building exercises, all based around self-healing and adding tools to our internal toolbox, to help us cope when life happens. This is a very informative and intimate day spent with self and learning to help each other heal through our different life experiences. It is by far our favorite day of retreat.

Day 5:

After breakfast, you will be transported to Arusha National Park to enjoy a guided walking safari through one of Tanzania’s most sought after national parks. Expect to see infinite acres of woodland, which is home to many different species of wildlife including, black and white colobus monkeys, zebras, giraffes, buffalos and a wide variety of antelope. You will also get the opportunity to see over 400 different bird species, including the Crowned Eagle, Lanner Falcon and Levaillants Cuckoo. You will also see the parks most notable features: Mount Meru- Tanzania’s second highest peak, which is still an active volcano. Momela Lake, which is home to water bucks, dikdiks, zebras giraffes and more exotic african birds. You may even spot elephants, warthogs and an unusual leopard or two. Today you will enjoy a box lunch in the park provided by Chanya Lodge. Be sure to wear good hiking shoes! After your excursion you will be transported back for a relaxing dinner and a good night’s rest at the Chanya Lodge.

Day 6:

Day 6 will be spent at the Chanya Lodge and is meant to be a day of self care and relaxation. On this day you will be treated to your complimentary 1 hour massage, art therapy, learning the best breath work techniques and you will have the opportunity to set up a complimentary one-hour life coaching session. All meals will be provided at full board, breakfast, lunch & dinner at Chanya Lodge.

Day 7:

Day 7, your final day is considered a free day. On this day, you will be able to explore the city of Moshi for shopping while being guided with one of our local guides. You are free to go to the local out door markets, the super market, souvenir shops, local monuments, photo opportunities, try local restaurants and street food ( food outside Chanya Lodge and personal expenditures are your responsibility) and see the bustling city up close and personal. You can also choose to relax at the Chanya Lodge and enjoy full board by the pool or in one of the many gardens. The choice is yours.

Departure Day:

On this day, you will be provided with breakfast at the Chanya Lodge before you prepare for your departure. You will be transported to the Kilimanjaro International Airport according to your itinerary, unless you have chose to extend your stay for other excursions such as a trip to Zanzibar Island, Mount Kilimanjaro, extended Safaris or more cultural day trips. Please let us know your desires once you establish contact with us for booking.

Immerse yourself in the healing, natural hot springs

Kikuletwa Hot Springs, known to locals as “Chemka”, is one of the hidden gems near Moshi. The water is crystal clear in this jungle oasis where you can relax, float, swing and even jump off near by trees into the blue water. The elevated levels of sulfur in the warm water are said to be able to soothe tired muscles, improve circulation and promote overall wellnesss.

Dive into the ancient tribal cultures of Tanzania

You will have the opportunity to spend the day at a Maasai Village. The Maasai tribe is one of the most known ancient semi-nomadic african tribes that still exist today. During your tour, you will visit a traditional Maasai homestead, meet tribal members and learn all about their way of life.
