Visa Application Information

Step by step instructions:

• Once you have gone to the website Tanzania eVisa website, the first step is to click “New Application”. From there you will be prompted to enter your basic information. Click save and continue when done.

• Next, you will be prompted to enter your personal information. Make sure you use the same name as what is listed on your passport. Click save and continue when done.

• Next, you will be prompted to enter in your contact, address and employment information. Click save and continue when done.

• Then, you will be prompted to enter in your passport information. Use your passport to fill this part out. For “Place of Issue” put the city where you applied for your passport. (Which city did you send the information in from?) Click save and continue when done.

• Next, you will be prompted to enter in your travel info. Here you will be asked for the nearby embassy that handled your application. Put Washington D.C., USA. For type of Visa requested, choose “Multiple Entry Visa”.  For purpose of your visit, choose “Leisure and Holiday”.  If you have been to Tanzania before, enter the first day of your last visit, date and then the visa number you used. For destination, enter “Tanzania Mainland”. Port type is “Airports”. Port of entry and departure will be “Kilimanjaro International Airport”. For host, enter “Self”. For where you are going to stay, enter “Hotel”. For Physical Address, enter “Moshi, Tanzania”. Click save and continue when done.

• Next, you will be asked for your document info. Here you will upload a copy of your passport photo and a copy of your bio data page from your passport. The bio data page is the one that has your picture and all of your information on it. Both photos must be under 300KB and in either jpeg or png format. Then you will be asked to upload a pdf copy of your return flight ticket/information. Click save and continue when done.

• Then you will be directed to the Declaration Page. Click save and continue when done.

• Lastly, you will be prompted to enter in your payment information. The fee is $100. Click Save and continue and you are done.

• You will receive notification by email once it is approved. Make sure to print out a couple of copies of your visa document before you embark on your trip.
