Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking Adventures

Mt. Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest free standing mountain with an elevation of 19,341 ft. It is a dormant volcano and it has three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi & Shira. Mt. Kilimanjaro is commonly known as the “Roof of Africa”, as it is the continent of Africa’s highest peak. It is located in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. It includes seven official trekking routes.

Mt. Kilimanjaro Trek- Marangu Route (6 days)- group rates starting at $1775.00/person

The Marangu Route, also known as the Coca-Cola Route is the shortest and easiest route to Mt. Kilimanjaro’s summit. It takes 6 days and 5 nights to complete the trek.

Mt. Kilimanjaro Trek - Rongai Route - (7 days)- group rates starting at $2150.00/person

Rongai Route ascends Mt. Kilimanjaro from the northeastern side of the mountain, along the boarder of Tanzania and Kenya. This is the only route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the north. It is one of the most remote and untouched trails on the magnificent mountain. It offers hikers a lot of advantages which is why it appeals to many Kilimanjaro climbers. On this route, you will find much solitude.

Lemosho Route — group rates starting at $2,200.00/person- (8 days)

The Lemosho Route crosses the Shira Plateau from East to West, and offers a pleasurable and gratifying hike up to the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Machame Route — group rates starting at $1,940.00/person-(7 days)

The Machame Route provides incredible views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and a variety of natural habitats. This route gives hikers good acclimatization from the first day until summit day, making it one of the most popular routes.

Umbwe Route — group rates starting at $1950.00/per person-(6 days)

If you want to have a true mountain climbing challenge, Umbwe Route is the one for you to choose when desiring to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. It is one of the shortest routes to the southern glaciers and it is also the most difficult and challenging routes on the mountain. This route is very quiet, far from the crowds that are found on the more popular routes. While it is not a technical climb, it does offer steep ascents and requires trekkers to climb over rocks and tree roots at certain points on the way to the summit. If you choose this route, we advise that you are fit and as ready as possible for the challenge.

Shira Route —group rates starting at $2500.00/per person- (7 days)

Shira Route is a little used trail that begins near Shira Ridge. It is nearly identical to the Lemosho Route, because it was the original route and Lemosho is the new improved variation. Although Shira is a varied and beautiful route, it is less favorable than Lemosho due to the relatively high altitude of Shira's starting point. The route approaches Mt. Kilimanjaro from the West. It bypasses the rainforest region of the mountain. It crosses the entire Shira Plateau from west to east in a relatively flat hike, traversing underneath the Southern Circuit before submitting from Barafu Camp.

Kilimanjaro Rainforest Trek - Day Trip - group rates starting at $500/per person

Want to experience Mount Kilimanjaro but don’t want to climb to the top? Hakuna Matata! Choose this day trip into the dense rainforest of Kilimanjaro and hike your way up to Mandara Camp, followed by a journey to Maundi Crater for spectacular views of the mountain, Kenya and Northern Tanzania.
