Terms & Conditions
Winrica Adventures Limited is a tour operator company creating products by contracting services with local suppliers in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. The following terms as used in the Booking Terms and Conditions shall be considered synonymous: safari, tour, itinerary, retreat and trip, all of which refer to the travel arrangements being booked with us.
Additionally, the following terms: client, guest, participant, member, passenger and traveler all refer to you, as the traveler.
Tour Prices quoted are valid to December 31, 2024 and 2025 and include:
Accommodations as indicated in each itinerary, based on either twin-bedded rooms or double bed rooms (or tents where applicable).
Meals as indicated in each itinerary, and domestic bottled water with group meals.
Arrival and departure transfers and all other land transport.
For Kilimanjaro and other mountains: Services of professional and licensed English speaking guides, skilled cook, and enough number of porters for carrying your luggage, food and water.
For safaris: Services of English speaking driver guide and a skilled cook for camping safari.
Entrance fees to National Parks, game reserves and museums, and ALL other applicable fees and taxes.
A safari vehicle, equipped with luxurious game viewing and touring, with a guarantee window seat!
For Zanzibar: Services of English speaking driver and guides.
Entrance fees for National Parks, Conservation Areas and Ocean Tours.
Not included in quoted tour prices:
Cost of passports or visas: excess baggage charges; travel insurance; airfares and airport departure taxes (unless explicitly stated); sightseeing, fame drives or meals not listed in the itinerary; personal expenses such as beverages, (other than bottled water as noted in tour inclusions), laundry, communication charges, upgraded hotel suites, such as but not limited to family suites or private king suites (family suites and private king suites available upon request) and gratuities.
Reservations and Payments:
A deposit of 20% - 30% per person, unless another amount is otherwise agreed upon, is required at the time you book. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. The remainder of the price of your trip is due 60-90 days prior to your departure date. Accepted methods of payment to our booking office include Credit/Debit card through our website booking or wire transfer. If you desire to pay through wire transfer, please let us know in advance so we can share wire transfer details with you. If paying with credit/debit card a surcharge of 4% applies. We will accommodate last minute reservations when possible.
Cancellation Policy:
Winrica Adventures policy requires that prior to tour departure all cancellations must be in writing. Winrika Adventures will retain a percentage of the trip cost dependent upon the receipt date of the cancellation notice. If the trip is cancelled:
91 days or more before departure date:
Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit.
90 to 61 days before departure: 50% of the package price is non-refundable.
60 to 46 days before departure: 65% of the package price is non-refundable.
45 days or less before departure: 100% of the package price is non-refundable.
Within 90 days prior to departure cancellation fees will apply. You may also be responsible for any fees imposed by hotels, airlines, etc., that are over and above your land arrangements, due to your cancellation of your original date bookings.
Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
Guest Representation and Consent:
The person making a booking with us, warrants that he or she has authority to enter into a contract on behalf of all other personas included in such a booking.
The payment o the deposit or any other partial payment for a reservation on a tour constitutes a consent by all guests covered by that payment to all provisions of the Terms and Conditions contained herein whether the guest has signed the contract or not.
Alteration to Tours:
Winrica Adventures reserves the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour, if air schedule or surface transportation changes, security matters and/or events beyond its control make such alterations necessary.
Right to Subcontract:
Winrica Adventures shall have the right to subcontract any of its services to a third party service provider in its sole discretion.
Accommodations:
Accommodations and arranged sightseeing are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances beyond Winrica Adventures control. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued.
Baggage:
Baggage and personal effects are at owners risk throughout the tour. Luggage weight restrictions on some internal flights may apply; details will be provided on your itinerary.
Increase in cost:
Tour costs quoted are current and are subject to change should there be any increases related to national park fees, lodging rates, governmental fees and taxes, internal airfare, airport taxes, visa fees, third party services or any other circumstance beyond our control.
Claims and Refunds:
Except for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed tour services. There will not be any refund if you cancel the tour that is in progress. Please see our Limits on Responsibility and Cancellation Policy. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 45 days of the termination of the tour and be accompanied by supporting statement from the Tour Operating Company verifying claim.
Winrica Adventures Responsibility:
Winrica Adventures, its employees, shareholders, officers, directors, successors, agents and assigns, does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, including without limitation, various entities which may be affiliated with Win Rika Adventures’ guides, food and drink service providers, equipment suppliers, etc. As a result, Winrica Adventures is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person or entity it does no town or control, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control.
In addition and without limitation, Winrica Adventures is not responsible for any injury, loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, disease, illness, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.
ANY PAYMENT TO WINRICA ADVENTURES LIMITED CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT HEREIN.
