Day 1

Arrival at Moshi:

Today you will arrive according to your flight itinerary at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. After making your way through customs, you will be greeted by your transfer team who will take you to your sleeping accommodations at the Chanya Lodge in Moshi for a good night’s rest after your journey here.

Day 2

Moshi to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up to be transported to Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park where you will discover the magic and history of Kilimanjaro, the world’s tallest freestanding mountain. You will be starting your exploration at Marangu Gate, for a hike through the rainforest region, to Mandara Huts and then to see the Maundi Crater of the mountain. Maundi Crater is an extinct depression formed by the volcanic activity of the mountain. While in the rainforest region keep an eye out for the playful black and white Colobus monkeys and the curious blue monkeys along the route. After a day well spent, you will be transported back to your sleeping accommodations at the Chanya Lodge.

Day 3 - Start of 3 Day Safari - Moshi to Tarangire National Park

Moshi to Tarangire distance 3-4 hours drive

After breakfast you will be transported to Tarangire National Park for a game drive.. Tarangire is known as being home of the elephants. Tarangire is one of Tanzania's smaller parks, drawing less visitors, making it a very enjoyable experience. Along with large herds of elephants, the park is also home to three rare animal species- the Greater Kudu, the friended-eared oryx and a few ashy starlings.

After enjoying the national park, you will be transported to your sleeping accommodations at the Farm of Dreams Lodge in Karatu.

Day 4: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will be driven to Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact caldera and a magnificent World Heritage site. At the crater's base, the crater walls offer a dramatic backdrop and an abundance of wildlife. You will start your morning wildlife drive and then rest in the afternoon with a picnic lunch, before continuing your wildlife drive. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to your lodge for rest and relaxation.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast you will be transported to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is known for its large flocks of pink flamingoes and tree climbing lions. You will start a mid-morning wildlife drive, enjoy a picnic lunch, and then continue the wildlife drive. Later in the afternoon you will be driven to Moshi to Chanya Lodge for a good night’s rest.

Day 6: Rundugai Cultural Tour

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide around 8-8:30 am and transported to the Maasai Village where you will get the chance to experience the daily life of this extraordinary tribe. Learn and take part in the Maasai way of life: livestock keeping, cattle herding, milking cows and goats, water fetching with donkeys and participating in their traditional dance. You will also get time for a Q&A where you will ask the tribe any questions you may have. Afterwards, you will be met by the local mama’s and experience the delight of a warm authentic African lunch. Your next stop is the Kikuletwa Hot Springs (aka Chemka Hot Springs), to discover the beautiful swimming oasis of warm crystal clear water. This natural pool, which is surrounded by the impressive roots of fig trees and palm trees, will make you feel like you have entered a tropical paradise. Take a leap with the swinging rope or just relax in a floating tube. After a day well spent, you will be transported back to your sleeping accommodations at the Chanya Lodge.

Day 7: Departure Day

Today you will be picked up and transferred to the Kilimanjaro International Airport according to your flight itinerary and start your journey back home.
