Day 1:

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

After arriving and making your way through customs, you will be greeted by your transfer team who will transport you to your accommodations at the Chanya Lodge in Moshi, where you will be able to rest and relax from your long travel.

Day 2:

Rundugai Cultural Tour:

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide around 8-8:30 am and transported to the Maasai Village where you will get the chance to experience the daily life of this extraordinary tribe. Learn and take part in the Maasai way of life: livestock keeping, cattle herding, milking cows and goats, water fetching with donkeys and participating in their traditional dance. You will also get time for a Q&A where you will ask the tribe any questions you may have. Afterwards, you will be met by the local mama’s and experience the delight of a warm authentic African lunch. Your next stop is the Kikuletwa Hot Springs (aka Chemka Hot Springs), to discover the beautiful swimming oasis of warm crystal clear water. This natural pool, which is surrounded by the impressive roots of fig trees and palm trees, will make you feel like you have entered a tropical paradise. Take a leap with the swinging rope or just relax in a floating tube. After a day well spent, you will be transported back to your sleeping accomodations at the Chanya Lodge.

Day 3:

Materuni Waterfall Day Trip:

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide around 8-8:30am and transported to the Materuni Village. On arrival, your guide will take you to the local coffee farmers and you will learn how they grow their coffee, processing from farm to cup and you will participate in coffee berry picking and grinding while making your own cup of rich coffee for your tasting. Afterward, you will walk on the beautiful trails around the village and witness the breathtaking waterfalls, where you will have the chance to swim and feel its cool waters before getting back to the village for a traditional lunch and a chance to taste the local banana beer, followed by your departure back to Chanya Lodge.

Day 4:

Start 6 day, 5 night safari:

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and driven to Tarangire National Park, home of the elephants for a full day game drive. From Moshi to the park, it will take approximately 3-4 hour drive. For your sleeping accommodations, you will spend the night inside the park at the Tarangire Safari Lodge.

Day 5:

Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park:

After enjoying an early breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park and enter through the South Gate. Here you will have a chance to see many different species of wildlife, including large flocks of pink flamingos and possibly, even a couple of tree-climbing lions. For your sleeping accommodations, you will spend the night at the Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Day 6:

Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park:

After an early breakfast, we will drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site, for a half day tour. The crater is the world’s largest intact caldera. At its base, the crater walls offer a dramatic backdrop and an abundance of wildlife. After your tour and game drive, we will head to the Serengeti National Park for overnight at the Osinon Camps & Lodges or Serengeti Heritage Camps. (Accommodations dependent on availability at time of booking)

Day 7:

Full Day at Serengeti National Park:

Today you will enjoy a full day at the Serengeti National Park. You will have a choice to start early in the morning to have a chance to spot some wildlife at sunrise, if the weather is permitting. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five. You will have the chance to see them in their habitat during the game drive. Tonite you will spend the night back at your Serengeti sleeping accommodation.

Day 8:

Serengeti Full Day:

Today you will have a choice to go for an early morning game drive and then back to camp for a hot lunch or a full game drive with a box lunch. The choice is yours. You will spend your last safari night back at your Serengeti sleeping accommodation.

Day 9:

Serengeti to Moshi:

Today you will spend your morning in the Serengeti before packing up and heading back to Moshi to your sleeping accommodation at the Chanya Lodge.

Day 10:

Moshi to Zanzibar:

Today you will be transported from the Chanya Lodge to the Kilimanjaro International Airport, according to your flight itinerary, to begin your journey to Zanzibar Island. After arriving at the Zanzibar Airport, you will be greeted and picked up by your transfer team, who will transport you to your sleeping accommodations at the Tembo House Hotel on the beach for your first night’s rest in Zanzibar.

Day 11:

Fumba Village Special Boat Guided Safari Blue Tour:

After breakfast, you will be picked up to be transported to Fumba Village. The Special Boat Blue Tour includes: visiting three different sand banks. You will have the opportunity to stop at one of the sand banks for a fresh seafood lunch. After lunch you will do some snorkeling and have the chance to see wild dolphins play. After a full day of exploration, you will return back to your sleeping accommodation at the Tembo House Hotel.

Day 12:

Spice and Stonetown Tour:

After breakfast, you will be picked up around 9- 9:30am to travel to a spice farm where you will see different types of traditional native spices and how they are grown, plus a tasting of seasonal fruits. You will also be able to experience the normal day-to-day life of the local people in the village. After, you will enjoy lunch at the spice farm. After your meal, you will have a town tour where you will learn the amazing history of the heart of Zanzibar Island, also known as Stone Town. You will have the chance to see the slave market site, daily market, House of Wonder Old Fort, Palace Museum and Narrow Street, followed by a chance to do some local shopping. After your full day tour, you will be transferred back to your sleeping accommodations at the Tembo House Hotel.

Day 13:

Prison Island Tour:

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to Prison Island where you will witness the gentle tortoises in their natural habitat and enjoy the clear, blue Indian Ocean and snorkeling. After, you will be driven to the natural aquarium where you will have the chance to swim with the sea turtles. After your experience you will be transferred back to your sleeping accommodation at the Tembo House Hotel.

Day 14:

Dolphin Tour:

On your final day, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to your dolphin tour were you will see and swim with the dolphins in their habitat. After your tour, you will be transferred back to your sleeping accommodations for your last night in Zanzibar.

Departure Day:

You will be picked up and transferred to the Zanzibar Airport according to your flight itinerary and start your journey back home.
