You don't have to feel ready.
Most people who stand at the top didn't.
The doubt you're feeling right now? It's normal. It's honest. And it's not a reason to stay home. We've guided people through that exact fear — to the summit and back. We'll do the same for you.

OUR STORY
We didn't meet in an office.
We met on the side of a mountain.
She came to climb Kilimanjaro in a wheelchair. Not because it was easy — because it wasn't. She's American, a full-time wheelchair user due to a spinal cord injury, and she made that climb to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health for people with disabilities.
He was one of her guides — Tanzanian, experienced on the mountain, someone who had spent years helping others find what they were capable of. He didn't know that climb would change his life too.
“What started on that mountain became a shared mission. And then a marriage. And then a company — built on exactly what we proved together at 5,895 meters: that the right support changes what’s possible.”
We built Winrica Adventures because of what that climb taught us. That resilience isn't about having no fear. That human connection is what actually gets people to the top. And that the right guide — one who genuinely believes in you — makes all the difference.
That's the company we run. That's the experience we create. And it starts long before you ever set foot on the mountain.

WHY WINRICA
We're not selling tours.
We're building experiences that stay with you.
There are plenty of companies that will put you on the mountain. Not many will prepare you for it, support you through it, and make sure the people who make it possible — the guides, the porters, the communities — are genuinely taken care of.
•
Locally operated
We are based in Moshi. Our guides live here. This is their mountain. Not a contract we outsource.

Cultural depth, not performance
Our cultural experiences are with communities our team actually belongs to. Real connection, not a show.
•
Safety above everything
We only offer routes with proper acclimatization profiles. We will never cut days to cut costs.
•
Genuinely accessible
Our co-founder climbed Kilimanjaro in a wheelchair. We do not use "accessible" as a marketing word.

"We don't rush people up the mountain. We prepare them to reach the top."
This means choosing the right route, the right pace, and the right number of days — for you. There are no shortcuts worth taking at 5,895 meters.
WHO CLIMBS KILIMANJARO
You don't have to be an athlete.
You have to want it.
The people who reach Uhuru Peak are not a special category of human. They are teachers, parents, people who've never camped, people who were nervous the entire way up. What they have in common is not physical perfection — it's the decision to try.
Kilimanjaro is a trekking peak, not a technical climb. There is no ice axe, no ropes course, no mountaineering experience required. What it takes is preparation, patience, and a guide team that knows when to push and when to slow down.
That's us. We will get you ready before you arrive. We will be beside you every step. And if there is a hard moment on the mountain — and there will be — you will not be facing it alone.
